Food is the most basic need of all living beings. In the fast-paced world of today, food habits- both, in terms of preparation & consumption – have seen a dramatic change. A lot of socio-economic changes continue to drive this change in an unprecedented manner in the developing countries like India.
Recently I was out on a lunch with my family at a Gujarati restaurant. The place was full with people enjoying the Sunday meal with families. There was laughter & chatter across the tables. While we too, were enjoying the delicious food all of us heard a bell struck near the counter & all the waiters serving the guests loudly said Aav-jo in unison.
Water, Weather and Waste are three major concerns around the world. The irresponsible behavior of generations of mankind is the root cause of all the three issues. Leaders around the globe are struggling to find solutions to mitigate the risks to future caused by these issues.
Before I moved to Pune, after spending a hectic life in the city of Mumbai & in a corporate career, managing complexity was the order of the day. With complexity came the excitement of the challenges ahead & the stress to overcome the challenges.
It is 6 ‘O clock in the morning & the birds are chirping outside my window. The sun will be up soon filling the sky with its bright sunshine. A sunshine that liberates you from the darkness of the night & starts the day with a new hope, that today would be better than yesterday & tomorrow better than today.
